5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent !!

I was only thinking about auctions this weekend when this book popped up on Amazon. I agree with the author that there are opportunities now that we haven’t seen for years. The best bit of the book for me was the mechanics of the process, which until now, have put me off. It is not as complicated as I thought and will investigate further.

Although some landlords are selling, I am looking to buy more. I also agree that the best deals often go to auction and are not found on portals or through estate agents. The author has pulled off some fantastic deals over the years and he goes through the detail of how he found them and why they there was little if any, competition for them.

The book is really good and it’s clear to me that the person behind it has a lot of experience and knowledge. It is also easy to read and digest. I bought the Kindle version and am pleased with it.

My husband and I have been in the property business for thirty years. This book is a very useful guide for would-be property investors as well as experienced investors like ourselves. I highly recommend it.

Finally an up to date property book! Having some experience in the property field, I have spent a fortune on books over the years and then find the information to be old and outdated. This book is head and shoulders above other property authors on the market. I love how the book explains real life details and breakdowns of how to get the best out of below market value deals at auction. If you are new to the property game this book is a must have. Wish it had been available when I started in property 10 years ago.

Great property book An easy read, full of up to date advice and takes you through the entire property auction process. A handy reference guide. The real examples are very interesting and not all bought at the live auction. Interesting approach. I have a lot to think about. The authors tips are also very helpful.

An accessible book for a new buy-to-let auction investor. Any jargon was clearly explained. I particularly liked the detailed description of how to find an investment property, what to look for and then analyse it to see if it stacked up. The online auction chapter is also very useful, as some of the auctions I’ve been looking at are only online. A great book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent timing. A perfect book for 2023 property investment

I am an experienced property buyer around the UK, in particular north of England, central London and its outer regions. I am looking for below-market value properties and my experience tells me that in the next few years there are likely to be excellent properties and portfolios being sent to auction for a quick sale. I want to have the confidence of understanding the risks and returns and this book does that and more. It’s also right up to date with 2023 circumstances and procedures. I highly recommend it for new and seasoned investors alike. It covers not just the property finding and the pitfalls, but also the detail of ‘How to’ buy at auction. The author has a great deal of experience which comes across in the book and the examples he gives bring the book to life.

I buy commercial property in my SIPP. However I am not very experienced and so tend to rely too much on agents. I have wanted to buy at auctions but worried about the process. This is a very helpful and clear guide. There is not a wasted word. It is packed with sensible and clearly experienced advice.

Many real estate books are dated and I was drawn to this more by the fact that it’s new, rather than it being about property auctions. Having read it, I will be following the author’s advice and focus my efforts on buying below-market-value properties at auction. It’s the sort of book you can read, then refer back to and use it as a guide throughout the buying process. I liked the property viewing tips and what to look out for. Worth a look, even if you don’t buy at auction, yet.
